Tailor-made dresses and cloaks for religious image

Each image of the Virgin Mary, each image of Our Father Jesus Nazareno, has its own characteristics. There are representations of the Virgin of small size, for example the current figure of the Virgen del Pilar located in the Basilica del Pilar, in Zaragoza , measures approximately 36 cm.

Both the dress and the sacred mantle for the image of the Dolorosa were made to measure so that they would look optimal on the figure of the Virgin.

Measurements of the cloaks and dresses for religious image

The measurements of the religious image on which we want to place the dress or the sacred mantle are very important. In order for the garments to fit the figure, several aspects must be taken into account:

Cloak or dress length | image height

Total height of the image will determine the length of the mantle or dress. That is, the measurement that goes from the top of the head of the image to the bottom of the feet (or the place where they want the garment to reach).

It is especially important when making a sacred mantle, since the mantles, as a general rule, are placed on the head of the images of the Virgin Mary.
