Christmas gifts are a way to share the happiness of Christmas with our loved ones. Using a Christmas gift gives a person the importance to nosootros, in addition we are grateful for the love that has been provided to us. The Christmas gifts are a means to distribute joy especially among the youngest of the house.
The Christmas gifts have a long tradition dating back to the Birth of the Child Jesus.
So the Bible tells us that in a small stable in Bethlehem a child was born in the most humble of circumstances. This child was Jesus, son of Mary and Joseph, the true and only son of God.
The Child Jesus had a humble origin but his destiny was to become a king, the King of Heaven. Such was the importance of this child that three magi wise men from the east, known as The Three Magi made a long journey guided by the Star of Bethlehem, to worship the Child Jesus.
The Three Magi, when they arrived at the portal of Bethlehem, prostrated themselves before the blessed Virgin and St Joseph, and will regalon the Child Jesus three chests. Melchor gave the Child a chest of myrrh, Gaspar gave the Child a box of incense and Balthazar gave the Child a chest full of gold.
In addition to the gifts of Christmas, the christians exteriorizamos the joy of the christmas time decorating our homes and parishes. Most of us decorate our houses and churches with religious articles associated with the Birth of Jesus in Bethlehem.
Many are the religious elements that we use routinely in the decoration, among them we can highlight:
Carpets, balcony or hangings, decorated with pictures of christmas as the image of the Child Jesus, the Holy Family, the portal of Bethlehem, etc...
They tend to be placed on the outside of the Church or of the house hanging on balconies or windows.
