Embroidery on Catholic chasubles

Chasubles are one of the most relevant liturgical vestments for Catholic priests. They are pieces of fabric that cover the priest's body from the shoulders to the mid-leg.

The embroidered chasubles are those that have some type of ornament or decoration made with threads on the chasuble fabric. Embroideries can have religious symbols, floral filigree, liturgical elements, etc. Nowadays, priests can buy all kinds of embroidered chasubles with a wide variety of prices.

Embroideries are usually located fundamentally on the front, back, or on the neck of the garment. The most common area for embroidery is the front of the chasuble as it is the most visible.

In some cases, especially when the material with which the chasuble is made is difficult to embroider, a strip of fabric, known as the central stole, is usually placed on the chasuble fabric. This way, embroideries can be added to chasubles of all types of fabrics: brocades, damask, etc.

Embroidery on the Chasuble

The chasuble is made of damask fabric in the four liturgical colors. The neck and central stole are made of plain fabric decorated with embroidery in golden thread.

  • Embroidery on the chasuble collar

The chasuble has a monastic collar made with two pieces of plain fabric decorated with Eucharistic elements.

Each of the pieces of plain fabric has a symmetrical embroidery.

On the front, you can see embroidered vine leaves and grapes in golden thread. Eucharistic symbol representing wine, the Blood of Christ.

On the back, intertwined vine leaves with wheat spikes. Symbols of the Blood and Body of Christ.

  • Embroidery on the frontal and back stole

The chasuble is adorned with a central stole on the front and back made of plain fabric.

The central stole is finished with a golden trim on the sides.

The entire piece of fabric that is part of the stole is embroidered with Eucharistic elements and symbols of Christ. From top to bottom, the embroideries that can be seen are:

Vine leaves joined with vegetal elements.

JHS.

Vine leaves and wheat spikes.

Chalice with the Blessed Sacrament.

Vine leaves and wheat spikes joined with vegetal filigree.

  • Embroidery on the stole

The stole included in the sale price is made of damask fabric. The embroidery on the stole consists of a Cross embroidered in golden thread.

The embroidery on the stole, unlike the embroideries on the chasuble, is done directly on the damask fabric.

Price Filter on chasubles in our online store

The sale price of chasubles is one of the variables that has the greatest influence on the purchasing process of our customers.

For this reason, in our online store, we have implemented two filters that allow sorting and categorizing chasubles based on the price.

  • Price sorting filter

The price sorting filter is a tool that allows sorting chasubles based on their purchase price. By applying this functionality, you can view chasubles sorted in two directions: first, the inexpensive chasubles and then the more expensive ones, or vice versa, first the chasubles with higher prices and then the more affordable ones.

  • Price categorization filter

The categorization filter is used to select chasubles that are in a specific price range.

The online store's sales system has created a series of categories based on the prices of chasubles. Each of these categories is a price interval. By selecting one of the categories or intervals, the page displays the chasubles whose prices fall within the limits of that group. For example, if you select an interval that includes prices between 150-260 euros, the chasubles displayed on the screen will be all those that are within that price range.
