Our Lady of Schoenstatt, Mother and Queen Thrice Admirable

The Marian devotion to the Thrice Admirable Mother, Queen and Victorious of Schoenstatt has its origin on October 18, 1914. On that date, Father José Kentenich founded a Catholic movement with a small group of faithful.

The movement takes its name from a small German town of Schoenstatt (meaning “beautiful place”). In this town there is a small sanctuary consecrated to the Virgin Mary that served as the starting point of the movement. Since the beginning of the 20th century, the Schoenstatt movement has not stopped growing. It currently has a presence in more than 40 countries.
