Description of the chasuble

Chasuble with central stolon at the front and at the back. This ornament is made of 100% polyester and is only available in white with a central tan runner. The offer includes the plain stole with a golden Cross located in the center, in the part that would correspond to the nape. The chasuble is completed with a gold trim that adorns the entire contour of the garment.

In the central stolon of the front part, Our Lady of Perpetual Help is reflected in Byzantine style. The image on the chasuble reproduces an icon painted in tempera on wood about 53 cm high by 41.5 cm wide and whose date of creation is not known with certainty (between the 10th and 15th centuries).

In the stolon on a gold background we can see four figures: Saint Mary with the Child on her left arm and the archangels Gabriel and Michael.
On the left side of the representation is the archangel Saint Michael with a spear and a sponge. On the right side is Saint Gabriel with a Greek cross with a double crossbar. The Child in the shelter of his Mother looks towards infinity (some scholars believe that he was towards the future that awaits him) while with his two hands he grabs the right hand of the Virgin. Our Lady does not look at the Child to console him, but she overcomes the pain of her Son and her own and sweetens her face, offering a message of hope. Look at the viewer with the eyes of a Mother.

Santa María wears a red tunic, a dark-colored mantle and a lighter-colored cap that gathers her hair. On her head she wears the crown as queen of heaven and earth and a halo as a symbol of God's grace and enlightenment. For his part, the child wears a tight tunic and a command slung over his shoulder (clothing typical of the nobles and philosophers of antiquity). His head is also adorned with a crown and a halo. The folds and wrinkles of the garments are highlighted with reddish brown.

In the central stolon of the back part it is decorated with a Cross with concave brown arms. In the center of the Cross is the JHS, modern adaptation of IHS (Iesus Hominum Salvator, means Jesus Savior of men). From the center of the Cross come twelve rays.
